Terms of use
Effective October 13, 2026; we update this date whenever these terms change. They apply to Crossroads, the decision API and console at smallmodelslab.ai, operated by smallmodelslab. By using Crossroads, you agree to them and to our privacy policy.
Your account and keys
You are responsible for your account and for every request made with your API keys. Keep keys on your server, out of client code and public repositories, and revoke a key in the console as soon as it may have been exposed. Requests made with a key before you revoke it are billed to your account.
You keep ownership of the context you send and the answers you receive, and you authorize us to process them to provide the service. Only send content you have the right to use.
Do not use Crossroads for illegal activity, to infringe the rights of others, or to interfere with the service or its other users, and do not get around its limits or billing. We may suspend an account or revoke its keys to investigate misuse or protect the service.
Answers
Answers are model judgments. Crossroads checks that each answer fits its question, not that it is correct. You are responsible for the decisions your software makes with them; do not rely on them alone where a wrong answer could seriously harm someone.
Pricing and billing
Successful requests are billed monthly at the published rates, to the payment method you add in the console. Failed requests, and retries that return a saved response, are not charged. Metronome calculates invoices and Stripe collects them. A price change applies only to usage after it is published.
If an invoice goes unpaid, API access pauses until it is paid. For billing errors or refund requests, contact [email protected]. Any rights provided by applicable law remain in effect.
Availability and responsibility
We provide Crossroads as available and do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, response times, or correct answers. Models, features and limits may change. To the extent allowed by applicable law, smallmodelslab is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or losses caused by third-party services, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
Leaving and contact
You can stop using Crossroads at any time by revoking your keys; usage already incurred is still billed. To close your account, email [email protected].
